Principal announcement

We were overjoyed to have our new school site blessed recently and to start to build our St Catherine of Siena community.

A group gathered at the building site with the new school Principal Donna Bryce, for a ceremony where Parish Priest Father Linh Tran offered a blessing for the future success of the school as well as a safe construction process for the many builders and construction personnel who will be working on the site.

“I am really looking forward to building relationships within the Armstrong Creek community and the Nazareth Parish so together we can build a learning community where the children will be engaged with high expectations and empowered to excel,” Donna said.

Families interested to learn more about enrolling at St Catherine are invited to an information evening on Tuesday March 12 at 7pm at Nazareth primary school in Griffiths street Grovedale.

Through the many leadership roles she has held in schools over the years Donna has developed a passion to ensure every child feels safe, inspired and confident to learn and she is now looking forward to recruiting teachers who share this passion.

“Everyone at St Catherine’s will be committed to the development of the whole person; spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically to empower each child to reach his or her full potential,” she said.

“This philosophy will be embedded in all elements of the school life, and particularly in specific programs designed to promote wellbeing.”

St Catherine’s is currently being constructed on 2.8-hectare site at 131 Warralily Boulevard and the $5.7m stage one will include two storey teaching and learning and administration areas, adventure playgrounds, hard court play area. The final school will be built over four stages.
